Callers are limited to current Manufacturers Alliance manufacturing company members with either Human Resources or Executive responsibilities. Greg Peters, an attorney with Seaton, Beck, & Peters will field telephone calls involving issues in labor and employment law. Calls on these issues are intended to consume less than 15 minutes and are limited to three per Alliance member-company per year.

Issues included:

• EEO issues – hiring, termination, promotion, demotion and discipline

• ADA – hiring, testing, termination, and accommodation

• Employee benefits and ERISA

• Harassment

• FMLA

• Unemployment compensation

• WARN Act (plant closing)      

• Wage and hour

• Employment contracts                       

• Non-compete agreements

• Labor contract administration

• Collective bargaining            

• Worker’s compensation                     

Callers are limited to current Manufacturers Alliance manufacturing members only with either Human Resources or Executive responsibilities. Greg will attempt to answer questions immediately or within one hour of speaking with a Manufacturers Alliance member. These calls will not include excessive research, review of documents, drafting, litigation, charge, grievance handling or response. Therefore, additional work may be performed on an agreed upon fee basis, if required.
